Property manager Dundee Realty Management is committed to the environment and emphasized it when they called in InstaRain Irrigation Ltd. to install Rain Bird’s weather-based irrigation system, ET Manager. “The impact was immediate,” says InstaRain’s Jason Schmidt. “Just like low flush toilets this simple initiative saves a lot of water and therefore money.” But the importance of Dundee Realty Management’s dedication to Green initiatives extends far beyond its water bill. With each million of potable water consumed, 1,000 kilowatts of power is expended and 270 kilograms of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere. That means Dundee’s water saving at Sunridge Business Park alone equates to energy conservation of over 14,000 kilowatts of electricity and 3,800 kilograms of carbon dioxide. |
