ExactET Clients' Saved 455 Million Litres of Water in 2015

ExactET reported this year their clients saved a grand total of 455 million litres of potable water, which equates to a reduction of more than $1,250,000 to their customers’ utility bills.

Both of these numbers are records.

Since their launch in 2006, ExactET has saved clients a staggering 2.7 BILLION litres of water, the equivalent of 1,125 Olympic-size swimming pools.

The multi-family residential properties saved on average 1.4 million litres of water, while commercial properties saved an average of 1.0 million litres.

Out in Western Canada, a strong El Nino event led to an early start to summer, followed by mostly abnormally hot and dry conditions for the rest of the season.  Rainfall levels in Vancouver and Edmonton were over 30 per cent below normal levels.

In fact, you had to go as far East as Montreal to see above average rainfall levels in Canada's major urban markets.

"Over-all, those that converted to climate controlled irrigation reduced water consumption by 37 per cent compared to those who stuck with the outdated and arbitrary timer method, slightly less than the 40 per cent recorded one year earlier" said ExactET's CEO, Graham Duffy.
