ExactET Releases 2017 Weather Analysis for Climate Controlled Irrigation
ExactET released their annual Weather Analysis for Climate Controlled Irrigation in Canadian Urban Landscapes (http://www.exactet.ca/pdfs/Metro%20Canada%20Weather%20Analysis%20-%202017.pdf).
The report details the key weather statistics that impacted the frequency of outdoor watering in 2017 under Climate Controlled Irrigation in six of the major urban markets in Canada: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal.
The report once again highlights the differing summer in Western Canada versus the East, which this year was a complete reversal from 2016.
In 2017 Eastern Canada experienced a wet season while the west saw extremely hot, dry weather - a complete reversal from the previous year.
By way of example Ottawa experienced record rainfall and flooding while in the west Calgary saw record setting heat and dryness. As a result our clients in Ottawa only needed to water a total of 10 days during the season while those in Calgary watered a record 49 days during the season.
