ExactET Releases Annual Weather Analysis for Climate Controlled Irrigation
ExactET released their annual Weather Analysis for Climate Controlled Irrigation in Canadian Urban Landscapes (click link below).
The report details the key weather statistics that impacted the frequency of outdoor watering in 2018 under Climate Controlled Irrigation in six of the major urban markets in Canada: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal.
For the second year in a row Western Canada experienced hot and extremely dry conditions for most of May through August. In Vancouver rainfall during the summer was 32.2% below normal resulting in increased outdoor watering. The picture wasnt much better in Alberta with Calgary's rainfall 25.6% below normal and Edmonton only marginally better at 14.2% below normal.
Out east a generally wetter second half of the season helped to keep outdoor watering requirements closer to more normal levels.
