ExactET's Duffy Named Power Player Shaping Calgary's Future
Graham Duffy, co-founder of ExactET, was featured in Calgary Inc.’s March, 2007 issue as one of ten 'Power Players Shaping Calgary’s Future'.
The article focused on Calgarians who are 'driving, stewarding and profiting from Calgary’s meteoric urbanization'. It notes that Duffy and business partner Darren Kovacs are making a positive impact on the city’s water usage thru ExactET’s successful introduction of Smart weather-based irrigation solutions and establishment of a highly accurate ET weather network in Calgary. It goes on to highlight one such success story – Southcentre mall where the installation of ET Manager, Rain Bird’s Smart landscape irrigation solution using local weather information from ExactET’s weather network saved one million gallons in 2006. ExactET is looking to replicate its success in Calgary with the installation of similar weather networks in Vancouver, Toronto, Hamilton, London, Windsor and Kamloops in 2007.
“The success ExactET has had and the recognition that it has garnered in articles like that in Calgary Inc. is a testament to the growing significance that water stewardship is playing in Calgary as global warming becomes a primary concern for all Calgarians.” said Graham Duffy, Co-founder ExactET Systems Inc.
